About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Print Production Manager to oversee and drive end-to-end print production operations within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will ensure optimal efficiency, quality output, cost control, and consistent on-time delivery across multiple production sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily print production operations to ensure targets and deadlines are met
- Manage and optimise production workflows to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Monitor production output, quality standards, and turnaround times
- Manage and maintain all print production equipment across multiple sites
- Ensure preventative maintenance is implemented and equipment performance is optimised
- Identify and recommend equipment upgrades where required
- Ensure all printed products meet required quality standards
- Implement and maintain quality control processes, including colour accuracy and consistency
- Manage stock levels of consumables (paper, ink, etc.)
- Work with procurement to ensure material availability and control waste
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Lead, manage, and develop a production team of approximately 90 staff
- Drive performance, accountability, and productivity across the department
- Oversee workforce planning, including seasonal staffing requirements
- Manage departmental budgets and control operational costs
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, errors, and turnaround times
- Ensure cost-effective production without compromising quality
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational policies
- Maintain a safe and structured working environment
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth workflow and alignment with business objectives
Requirements
Proven experience in print production or manufacturing environments
Experience managing large teams in high-volume operations
Strong understanding of print processes including:
- Sublimation
- DTF (Direct-to-Film)
- Laser engraving
Experience working with industrial print machinery and production systems
