About the Role
The Branch Manager – Chemical Industry is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the end-to-end performance and daily operations of our Cape Town Airport Industrial branch. This role contributes to regional growth by ensuring sales targets are achieved, maintaining safe and efficient warehousing, and managing financial and administrative controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the branch team across sales, warehousing, admin, and maintenance functions.
- Maximize revenue and GP control to meet or exceed regional targets.
- Manage the inventory lifecycle including stock levels, transfers, and identifying expiry risks.
- Execute financial administration tasks including banking, petty cash, and debtor age analysis.
- Enforce HSE compliance specifically regarding safe chemical handling and decanting.
- Supervise logistics including delivery scheduling, fleet checklists, and distribution.
- Lead monthly stocktakes while investigating and resolving all variances.
- Maintain facility standards by ensuring CCTV, alarms, and fire safety equipment are operational.
Requirements
- Minimum Matric certificate.
- Proven experience in a similar field of application.
- Well-spoken and professional with strong interpersonal skills.

- Exceptional time management and resource allocation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Chemical industry knowledge is highly advantageous.
