About the Role
Pepperclub Hotel is seeking a reliable Handyman to join our Maintenance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy solving practical problems, and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of general maintenance tasks (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishing)
- Complete assigned work efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Work closely with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are guest-ready
- Minimise repeat issues and guest inconvenience
- Preventative Maintenance: Assist with scheduled maintenance programmes and proactively identify and report faults
- Help maintain all equipment and fixtures in optimal condition
Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- 2–3 years’ experience in maintenance or a similar role
- Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is an advantage
