About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly responsible, disciplined, and punctual Vehicle Delivery Driver to join a well-established automotive operation in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and delivering passenger and/or commercial vehicles to clients, panel beaters, dealerships and branches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and deliver vehicles to various customer locations, external workshops, and regional branch networks according to strict schedules.
  • Inspect vehicles before departure and upon delivery for any pre-existing scratches, dents, or operational faults, documenting findings accurately.
  • Verify delivery addresses and plan the most efficient, safe routes using navigation systems to ensure punctual arrival.
  • Maintain a neat, professional image when presenting vehicles to clients. Securely obtain signatures and complete necessary delivery notes, logbooks, and licensing paperwork.
  • Ensure that vehicles have sufficient fuel, are cleaned before handover, and are driven in full compliance with all road safety and K53 traffic regulations.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Matric (Grade 12) Certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional vehicle delivery driving experience (driving and moving actual vehicles, not just small packages)
  • Direct contact details for at least 2 professional references from senior managers or supervisors you directly reported to in your previous driving roles
  • Valid South African Driver’s License (Code 8 / EB or higher)

Salary & Benefits

Salary: R8,495.00 gross per month

Probationary Period: A three-month probation period applies to this role to monitor performance. Upon successful completion, the appointment will be made permanent.

Retirement Benefits: You will join the Motor Industry (MICFA) Provident Fund. Your employee contribution will be 7.5% of your gross salary, and the company will contribute a further 8%.

Annual Bonus: The company pays an annual bonus in December in accordance with MICFA Regulations . This amount is pro-rata for the months you have been employed during the calendar year.

Annual Leave: You are entitled to 18 days of paid leave per annum.

Hours & Overtime: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00 & Saturdays 08:00 – 13:00. Daily lunch breaks of 60 minutes. Overtime work may be requested depending on operational requirements and will be remunerated as per the MIBCO Agreement with regards to the BCEA salary threshold.

Mandatory Legal Requirements

Must be a South African born citizen

Must have a completely clean criminal background and a clean driving record.
