About the Role
The Senior Sales Professional role focuses on driving sales by building relationships with installers, fabricators, and manufacturers in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing relationships, and promoting product specifications in architectural and design projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities via installers, fabricators, and manufacturers.
- Call on existing accounts to maintain relationships and grow repeat business.
- Call on new customers through cold calling.
- Promote and secure product specifications in architectural and design projects.
- Prepare and deliver product presentations and technical spec talks to professional audiences when required.
- Provide technical guidance on product selection, application, detailing, and installation.
- Produce and submit specification documentation, samples, and shop drawings as required.
- Coordinate sample requests, manage sample logistics, and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage RFQs, prepare accurate quotes, and follow up to close sales.
- Liaise with internal teams (marketing, technical, production, logistics, finance) to ensure customer requirements are met.
Requirements
- Building related qualification
- Skills in the interior/exterior finishing industry
- Understanding of the construction, building, and import industries
- Proven track record of securing product specifications and meeting sales targets
- Technical knowledge of finishes, installation methods, and relevant standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 35 years direct sales/specifications experience in the interior/exterior finishing industry (preferred)
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel frequently; own vehicle preferred
Salary & Benefits
R 25 000 to R 35 000 cost to company per month
