About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at the Nelspruit location, working in close proximity to Cape Town City Centre. As a Nursing Sister, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations in our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring patients receive and understand relevant information and forms needed during in-room procedures, operations, and hospitalization.
  • Welcome patients arriving in a friendly and professional manner, communicate time delays to manage client expectations.
  • Contact other doctors to obtain notes and referral letters as needed for patient procedures.
  • Fulfil all nursing duties pre, during, and post in-room procedures.
  • Ensure clinical notes are captured on patient files post in-room procedure.
  • Attend to medical-related calls from patients regarding pre-procedure or surgery and post-procedure or surgery.
  • Assist with preparing procedure packs for the following day’s in-room procedures.
  • Coordinate patient follow-up visits – post-operative care.
  • Maintain patient records/reports on post-operative care.
  • Booking follow-up patient procedures.
  • Order stock from the pharmacy for all in-room procedures.
  • Keep track of stock used by external doctors and ensure this is charged to their account.
  • Ensure the treatment room and recovery area is clean and neat at all times.
  • Manage the cleaning of the treatment room and recovery area.
