Cape Town City Centre: Sales Manager – Technical / Hydraulic Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our technical and hydraulic solutions team in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, as well as engineering knowledge, to drive business growth and expand our brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to build and sustain a strong pipeline
  • Set and drive achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual targets
  • Forecast sales performance and share insights with leadership
  • Analyse market trends and competitors to inform strategy
  • Identify new markets, opportunities and key clients
  • Represent the company at industry events and expand brand presence
  • Maintain strong technical and industry knowledge
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and teams
  • Gather and share client feedback to inform business decisions
  • Lead, develop and performance-manage the sales team
  • Assist with key sales activities, including quoting

Requirements

  • Matric or related qualification
  • Diploma or degree in Sales and Marketing advantageous
  • Degree in Engineering or related studies advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with SAGE accounting systems
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a team
  • Valid SA drivers license and own vehicle
  • Bilingual in English & Afrikaans

Salary & Benefits

Basic salary, car allowance, contribution to medical aid, pension fund benefit, company laptop, mobile phone and fuel card. Performance-based bonus, dependent on company targets being achieved.
