Cape Town City Centre: Sales & Marketing Coordinator (Tourism)

Department: Sales & Marketing Reports To: Sales & Marketing Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: R 22 000 basic salary plus benefits Location: Cape Town CBD Industry: Hospitality & Tourism Minimum Requirements Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Hospitality Management, Communications, or a related field. 24 years’ experience in a sales, marketing, or coordination role. Hospitality, tourism, hotel, or travel industry experience will be advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with CRM systems and digital marketing platforms. Strong understanding of social media marketing and content coordination. Key Responsibilities Sales Support Assist the sales team with lead generation, prospecting activities, and client relationship management. Prepare proposals, presentations, contracts, and sales documentation. Coordinate site inspections, client meetings, and hotel show-arounds. Maintain accurate client and account records within the CRM system. Generate sales reports and track performance against targets. Marketing Coordination Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, and traditional marketing channels. Assist in creating and scheduling content for social media platforms and promotional activities. Liaise with designers, suppliers, media partners, and agencies to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials. Monitor campaign performance and compile marketing reports and insights. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing communications and collateral. Event & Partnership Support Assist with the planning and execution of promotional events, trade shows, exhibitions, and networking functions. Coordinate sponsorships, partnerships, and collaborations with tourism and hospitality stakeholders. Support the promotion of hotel packages, special offers, conferences, and events. Administrative Responsibilities Manage departmental administration, filing, and document control. Track marketing budgets, purchase orders, and supplier invoices. Maintain databases, mailing lists, and marketing assets. Coordinate internal communications relating to sales and marketing initiatives.
