About the Role

The Senior Planner (Construction) role is a critical position in our construction team, requiring a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead project planning efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction/civil engineering and extensive experience in large-scale building and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret scope of work, drawings, and Bill of Quantities to develop realistic schedules per project
  • Develop quantifiable activities per schedule and formulate chain of activities and responsibilities to reach deliverables
  • Measure “end value” and analyze impacts on the schedule
  • Analyze extension of time claims and methodologies for analysis
  • Provide problem-solving support and planning expertise
  • Collaborate with team members in office and on-site environments

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction/Civil Engineering
  • 5 years experience in Project Planning of large scale building and construction projects, preferably on site
  • Proven experience in CCS Candy software
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency in Primavera software
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in JBCC contract interpretations

  • Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) not specified
