Maintenance Manager | Luxury Lodge | Bela Bela Salary: R25,680.00 GROSS (Live-in) Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager for a luxury lodge in Bela Bela. This hands-on role is responsible for leading all maintenance operations, ensuring safety compliance, managing projects and contractors, and overseeing the lodges facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will take ownership of operational standards and lead a small maintenance team within a dynamic, high-paced hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead all maintenance operations across buildings, accommodation, public areas, and equipment Manage projects, contractors, and budgets efficiently Ensure compliance with safety, OHS standards, and fire regulations Control stock, tools, and procurement processes Oversee fleet management and reporting Supervise and develop maintenance staff performance and capabilities Maintain high standards of operational and environmental safety within the lodge Minimum Requirements: Matric 3+ years experience in Maintenance Management 3+ years experience in Project Management 2+ years experience in Fleet Management Valid Drivers License and PDP First Aid Level 3 certification Strong knowledge of building maintenance and safety compliance Firefighting experience Crew leader/crew boss, including grass fires Understanding of high voltage power lines, transformers, and generators Knowledge of PV (photovoltaic) system principles Key Skills: Leadership and team management Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability Negotiation and cost control skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Computer literacy and reporting proficiency Work Environment: Physically active, outdoor role within a game reserve environment Practical involvement in all maintenance operations Requires environmental awareness, flexibility, and operational initiative Benefits: Live-in accommodation (2-bedroom unit) Provident fund and UIF contributions Annual 13th cheque (December, after one year of service) Ideal Candidate Profile: A proactive, solutions-driven individual who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced hospitality setting, and takes ownership of all maintenance and operational responsibilities.
