About the Role
Our client in investments is seeking a Financial Manager CA(SA) with 5 years post qualification experience from the financial services investment arena. The role involves overseeing the financial health of an organization, requiring strategic planning, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the financial operations of the organization
- Ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the organization’s goals.
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Financial Reporting – Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Overseeing the consolidation of financial reports and ensuring compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Budget Management – Leading the budgeting process, including the preparation, review, and monitoring of budgets.
- Cash Flow Management – Monitoring cash flow, managing working capital, and optimizing liquidity.
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Liaising with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
- Managing relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-experience in financial management, preferably in the financial services / Investment Industry.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
