Employer Description 4-star Hotel Job Description Our client is seeking a Deputy General Manager for one of their largest hotels. They require a young, career-driven professional with solid Food & Beverage experience, proven stability and the ability to inspire and motivate a team. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding yet inspirational personality, contributing to the success of a high-profile property. Key Responsibilities: Hotel Operations Oversight Successfully overseen a large hotel with a minimum of 160 rooms. Managed operations in a high-volume conferencing hotel, ensuring seamless service delivery. Facilitated effective interdepartmental co-operation to anticipate and exceed guest expectations. Worked both independently and collaboratively to maintain consistently high standards. Financial & Administrative Management Effectively managed hotel finance and administration, including budgets, financial analysis, management systems and reporting. Applied the latest technology and regulations to streamline sourcing and purchasing of stock. Developed and implemented policies, procedures, strategies and controls across all areas of hotel management. Human Resources & Compliance Accessed and interpreted HR policies and legislative requirements for efficient implementation. Ensured compliance with contractual arrangements and regulatory standards. Supported staff development through training, supervision and performance management. Guest Experience Excellence Consistently delivered service that met and exceeded guest expectations. Maintained strong guest relations through proactive communication and problem resolution. Oversaw conferencing, housekeeping, restaurant and food & beverage operations to ensure holistic guest satisfaction. Qualifications Matric Diploma in Hospitality, Management or Business.
