Key Responsibilities

Sales

Collaborate with the GM and Brand Managers to formulate activities to undertake that are aligned to Ella Afriques sales strategies.

Monitor sales performance and provide guidance to Retail Coordinators.

Analyse sales reports and market trends.

Consult and advise on following up on orders with key retail partners.

Provide recommendations to improve sales operations.

Client Relationships

Build and maintain relationships.

Support the development of contracts with retailers.

Address escalated customer complaints.

Ensure that Retail Coordinators are equipped to handle customer queries and issues effectively.

Oversee activities to ensure the brand’s presence and visibility.

Business Development:

Identify business opportunities with new retailers.

Assist the GM and Brand Managers to develop and execute business development plans.

Advise and consult during brand meetings.

Point of Sale Tasks

Responsible for preparing and executing new door opening decks.

Oversee POS excellence, ensuring merchandising, product positioning, and stock availability.

Retail Execution:

Assist in the implementation of sales initiatives and promotional campaigns in retail stores.

Assist in implementing consistent brand presentation.

Review Meetings and Trainings

Assist in planning and arranging the internal monthly review meetings.

Take minutes during meetings and prepare meeting reports for the Commercial Manager.

Attend relevant Brand meetings and trainings, providing feedback on potential action and implementation items.

Reporting

Closely collaborate with the GM Angola and prepare reports.

Provide insights and recommendations to the GM based on data analysis and market observations.

Prepare cash-on-hand, pricing and competitor analysis reports.

Provide live feedback on all animations and events in-country, making sure the correct photographs and videos are taken to document the activities.

Regularly update the GM and respective Brand Managers on sales performance, market trends and business development activities.

Prepare and manage cash-on-hand reports.

Team Leadership & Development

Mentor and develop the Retail Coordinators providing training and support as needed.

Collaborate with the GM to set clear objectives and KPIs for the team and monitor their performance.

Foster a positive and productive team environment.

Administrative Tasks

Responsible for accurate minute-taking during brand and internal meetings.

Provide support to internal and brand review meetings.

Prepare detailed reports on market performance, stock levels, sales targets, and overall business health.

Responsible for arranging local travel and itinerary bookings.

Stock and Order Management

Gather information as agreed on Ella Afriques stock/inventory levels for your area.

Follow up regularly on all orders, confirming with retailers when stock has arrived and if there are discrepancies.

The Area Manager will play a critical role in driving growth, ensuring optimal stock levels, and executing retail expansion strategies across two key markets.

Technical Requirements:

Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

Key Competencies:

Knowledge of sales strategies, marketing campaigns and promotional activities tailored to the beauty industry.

Proficiency in analysing sales data, understanding market trends.

Ability to manage stocks.

Familiarity with Accounting, CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), POS and retail management software.

Strong understanding of Private Financing Initiatives.

Strong understanding of key account management, stock management, and sales data analysis.
