Key Responsibilities
- Design and review protection schemes for power systems including transmission and distribution networks.
- Perform protection coordination studies, fault analysis, and relay settings calculations.
- Configure and test protection relays and associated control systems.
- Support commissioning and troubleshooting of protection systems on site.
- Develop technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Participate in maintenance and upgrades of existing protection systems.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in power system protection or related field.
- Knowledge of protection relays and systems from manufacturers such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, or GE Grid Solutions.
- Experience with power system analysis software (e.g., **ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or SKM Power Tools).
- Strong understanding of protection principles (overcurrent, differential, distance, earth fault, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
