GENERAL FOREMAN CONSTRUCTION
Senior site leadership role delivering safe, compliant, on-time and profitable construction projects.
Location: Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa
Department: Production
Reports to: Site Agent / Contracts Manager
Role Summary
Full accountability for site execution, HSE, quality, programme, cost control and workforce supervision. Drives construction activities from planning to completion, coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials and plant to specification and programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site execution in line with programme, drawings and specifications
- Enforce HSE compliance, toolbox talks, audits and incident reporting
- Own quality compliance; eliminate rework and NCRs
- Supervise subcontractors, labour, plant and materials
- Monitor progress, identify delays, implement recovery actions
- Control costs, flag variations, support QS and CM
- Coordinate stakeholders: client, consultants, subcontractors
- Maintain site records, reports and statutory registers
- Develop, discipline and manage site teams
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- 15+ years technical construction experience
- 10+ years managerial/site leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and standards
- Proven HSE and quality management capability
