Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track all vehicles via GPS and tracking management systems
- Ensure deliveries are tracked from dispatch through to final delivery
- Monitor adherence to route plans, traffic regulations, driving times and delivery schedules
- Track and monitor cross-border vehicle movements and customs clearance processes
- Escalate delays, breakdowns, hijackings, accidents and route deviations immediately
- Maintain accurate incident logs and handover reports
- Communicate proactively with drivers, supervisors and management regarding delivery updates
- Monitor driver behaviour including speeding, unauthorised stops and other compliance matters
- Capture and update trip information on tracking systems
- Compile daily operational reports including OTIF, border delays, incidents and route deviations
- Support operational efficiency and customer service delivery.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric certification
- Diploma in Logistics or Transport Management (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s licence
- Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in tracking within FMCG, linehaul and cross-border operations
- Advanced experience working on vehicle tracking management systems
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
