About the Role
Profile Personnel is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a leading company in the mining industry based in East London. The desired candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the COO to drive strategic financial leadership across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the company’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Provide strategic financial advice and support to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making.
- Lead the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Implement and monitor financial controls, cost management strategies, and process improvements.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
- Play a key role in the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy to support long-term growth.
Requirements
- Relevant Qualifications: CA(SA) essential
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader in the mining or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, corporate governance, and risk management.
- Ability to provide strategic direction and manage a high-performing finance team.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
