About the Role
Kethelo Group is seeking reliable and experienced drivers to join our team as Code 10 and Assistants. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across East London.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily vehicle checklist and report any defects to management immediately
- Adhere to all company and traffic rules and regulations while driving
- Maintain the cleanliness and safe driving of trucks in line with the Road Traffic Act
- Ensure the safety of goods in transit and deliver at scheduled destination
- Perform necessary daily paperwork and signatures required on invoices and other documents
- Maintain constant communication with Despatch Manager regarding traffic issues, customer-related delays
- Take full responsibility for all stock loaded and offloaded
- Safeguard company assets and ensure vehicles are locked and secured at each stop
- Execute instructions as directed by the Despatch Manager
- Ensure vehicle is filled up with fuel at required fuel stations indicated by the Despatch Manager
- Return all fuel transactions slips to the Despatch Manager
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (Code 10)
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for handling cash and performing daily paperwork
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
- Reliable transportation vehicle or willingness to provide one

- Matric certificate (or equivalent)
