About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technical Assistant to join our team in East London, South Africa. As a key member of our technical maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse commercial, retail, and industrial portfolio, gaining exposure to advanced HVAC and VRV/VRF systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems
  • Work across commercial, retail, and industrial property environments
  • Ensure systems meet performance and efficiency standards
  • Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on HVAC equipment
  • Identify system issues and implement effective solutions
  • Conduct routine service calls and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and service reports
  • Manage HVAC tools, equipment, and stock
  • Order parts and materials for maintenance and installations

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / High School Diploma
  • Minimum 4 years experience as an HVAC Technician / Air Conditioning Technician / Refrigeration Technician
  • Proven experience with VRV/VRF systems (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Valid drivers license (advantageous)
