Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Material Planner to join a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, coordination, and availability of materials to support production requirements and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate material call-offs in line with production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to prevent shortages and excess stock.
  • Expedite supplier deliveries to meet production and customer timelines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions within SAP.
  • Work closely with logistics and freight forwarding teams to ensure material availability.
  • Analyse inventory data and prepare reports to support operational decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and SAP processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and inventory control standards.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with sourcing, quality, sales, engineering, and other operational teams to align material requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Advanced Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in material planning, inventory control, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and stock management systems.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management principles.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
