Our client is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team in East London. Operating in the air conditioning and HVAC industry, this role involves maintaining, repairing, and optimizing machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background, a trade qualification as a Millwright, and experience in the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in air conditioning units.
• Install and commission new HVAC systems and equipment as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for process improvement.
• Provide technical support and training to operators and other team members.

Requirements:

• Trade qualification as a Millwright (Red Seal).
• Proven experience in the HVAC industry.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills specific to HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and respond to call-outs when necessary.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
