An established organisation within the retail and manufacturing sector is seeking a Finance Supervisor to join its finance team. This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant looking to take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and operational finance processes.
The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to regional operations, including SADC transactions, while working closely with senior management and key business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly accounting and reporting processes
- Manage VAT, PAYE, and SARS submissions
- Review reconciliations and financial controls
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support audit and compliance processes
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff
- Assist with cross-border financial transactions and reporting
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- BCom Degree
- Completed SAICA Articles preferred
Experience:
- Approximately 2 years post-article experience
- Retail or manufacturing industry experience highly advantageous
- SARS submissions experience essential
- SADC and foreign exchange exposure advantageous
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong financial reporting abilities
- Willingness to work Saturdays from 09h00 to 12h00
