Job Description

REQUIREMENT:
– RSA ID and legal residence essential
– Valid Driver’s Licence essential
– Sober habits essential
– Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality, lodge, guesthouse, estate, or property maintenance
– Proven hands-on maintenance experience
– Experience supervising maintenance or grounds teams advantageous
– Strong electrical knowledge and experience highly advantageous
– Plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance skills essential
– Experience with generators, solar systems, pumps, and water systems advantageous
– Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
– Physically fit and capable of hands-on work
– Ability to work independently and manage contractors when required
– Own transport essential for candidates applying on a live-out basis

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Oversee maintenance and upkeep of all facilities and infrastructure
– Conduct daily inspections across accommodation, event, and public areas
– Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs
– Maintain generators, pumps, water systems, and property equipment
– Coordinate contractors and larger maintenance projects
– Assist with event setup and breakdown operations
– Maintain event equipment and storage facilities
– Ensure outdoor areas, pathways, lighting, and infrastructure remain operational and safe
– Support health, safety, and compliance standards across the property
– Implement and manage a preventative maintenance programme
– Ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
