About the Role

As a Motor Claims Specialist at Empire Recruitment, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end motor claims validation and settlement, making settlement determinations within mandate, and handling authorisations, rejections, and payment processing. You will work closely with brokers, clients, suppliers, and service providers to resolve complaints professionally and efficiently, delivering exceptional turnaround times and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end motor claims validation and settlement
  • Making settlement determinations within mandate
  • Handling authorisations, rejections, and payment processing
  • Working closely with brokers, clients, suppliers, and service providers
  • Resolving complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Delivering exceptional turnaround times and service excellence
  • Navigating difficult conversations with confidence and professionalism

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in motor claims settlement
  • Strong exposure to personal and commercial lines claims
  • Experience with HCV, fleet, or AGRI claims
  • Ability to work independently and make decisive calls
  • Excellent conflict management and communication skills
  • Strong eye for detail and urgency
  • Confidence handling high-value claims

Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • RE1 completed
  • FAIS Fit & Proper compliant
  • FETC in Short-Term Insurance (NQF4)
  • Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (NQF5+) advantageous
  • Class of Business certifications advantageous
  • Experience within a licensed insurer advantageous
  • TIAL/System A experience advantageous
