About the Role

Our client, a supplier of mining equipment, is seeking an Electronic Support Technician (Mining) to join their team in Johannesburg. As an Electronic Support Technician, you will be responsible for material requirements planning, installation, programming, testing and commissioning of various electronic products, including Leaky Feeder, CAS, PDS, BRS, radio devices, and other equipment. You will also assist with site audits, installation and commissioning of product lines, and work out of town and country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, program, test, and commission electronic products
  • Assist with site audits, installation, and commissioning of various product lines
  • Investigate, solve, and apply technical solutions to issues related to electronic products
  • Provide support for Leaky Feeder, CAS, PDS, BRS, radio devices, and other equipment
  • Work out of town and country as required
  • Attend meetings up to management level as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Radio frequency Trade related certificate
  • Skills Belt
  • Rip System knowledge and experience
  • Thorough Leaky Feeder system installation experience
  • Wi-Fi installation knowledge and experience
  • Collision avoidance and personal detection system installation experience
  • Handheld and mobile radio system installation/programming experience/knowledge
  • Basic computer programming skills
  • Computer Literacy and proficiency in MS Projects
