Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with the Group Financial Controller and Directors on financial strategy
- Oversee financial processes, controls, and reporting standards
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and manage depreciation schedules
- Reconcile customer stock against internal systems
- Manage intercompany transactions and loan accounts
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS and internal policies
Management Accounts & Reporting
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts
- Compile detailed management packs including variance analysis and margin reviews
- Process journals and perform reconciliations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Provide financial insights to support business decision-making
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and related statutory returns
- Manage SARS submissions and resolve any queries or discrepancies
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements
Working Capital Management
- Oversee creditors and approve supplier payments
- Monitor debtor ageing and drive collections
- Manage cash flow forecasting and funding requirements
- Ensure accurate monthly reconciliations across accounts
Audit & External Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors
- Prepare supporting documentation for annual financial statements
- Address audit queries and ensure deadlines are met
Compliance Oversight
You will take responsibility for key statutory requirements including VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, provisional tax, income tax, and CIPC-related submissions.
