Job Description
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
- 3–5 years’ experience in ISP, telecommunications, or network infrastructure environments (essential).
- Strong hands-on experience with wireless, fibre optic, and network equipment installations.
- Competent in configuring routers, switches, and wireless networking equipment.
- Experience working on high-sites, towers, and remote infrastructure locations (valid working at heights with RFA advantageous).
- Solid understanding and proven experience with fibre splicing, testing, and fault troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix) and basic IP networking principles.
- Ability to lead, supervise, and mentor junior technicians on-site.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex field issues.
- Knowledge of OHSA regulations and commitment to strict safety compliance.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.

- Maintain accurate stock control to support efficient operational planning and service delivery.
- Site & Property Maintenance:
- Ensure company facilities and technical sites remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Team Supervision & Leadership:
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to maintain high-quality workmanship and team performance.
- Training & Staff Development:
- Support technician development through training, mentoring, and skills enhancement initiatives.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Promote a safe working environment by strictly adhering to health and safety standards.
- High-Site Installations & Tower Work:
- Perform specialised high-site installations to maintain reliable network infrastructure.
- Fibre Sites & Installations:
- Ensure dependable fibre connectivity through accurate installation, maintenance, and fault resolution.
- Maintenance & Fault Resolution:
- Maintain network stability through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Cross-Departmental Assistance:
- Support organisational success through collaboration on projects and operational requirements.
- Ad-Hoc Duties:
- Provide flexible technical support across various operational and infrastructure initiatives.
