Job Description

About the Role

The Stock Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining the hotel’s inventory management, ensuring that supplies are adequately stocked and that stock counts are accurate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire stock control process, from receiving to stocking, and will work closely with the Storeman team to manage store issues.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain complete and detailed databases of inventory and supply documentation
Inspect and confirm supply quality and delivery on a daily basis
Set and control the stock count process and procedures for Wine and Beverage inventory
Enter inventory data and counts into the computer system accurately
Conduct spot checks, weekly inventory checks, and manage stock levels to prevent overstocking
Investigate variances in inventory and prepare reports
Oversee Storeman and store issues to various areas
Manage purchasing orders for incoming equipment, services, and supplies
Order all beverages based on a par stock level
Verify receipts and confirm purchase contents and orders are complete
Ensure supplied stocks meet demand

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent
Bachelors degree in business or related field advantageous
Two (2) years experience as a stock controller, receiver, or related position
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Advanced Excel)
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Goal-oriented, organized team player
Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions
Good interpersonal skills to work with management and staff at all levels

Qualifications

Valid Code 08 Drivers License
