Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Bookkeeper with a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the finance and administrative function of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, stock processing, and general administrative support. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting experience in a practical, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and issue customer invoices accurately and timeously
- Capture and reconcile stock records, including stock weight slips
- Assist with strategic purchasing of operational items (e.g. packaging and cleaning materials)
- Perform basic bookkeeping functions including data capture and reconciliations
- Support VAT-related processing and ensure compliance requirements are met
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records
- Provide general administrative support to the finance and operations teams
Minimum Requirements
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Sound knowledge of VAT
- Experience working with Sage Accounting software
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Good numerical ability and attention to detail
