About the Role
The Business Development Lead will drive transaction growth across existing billers and payment channels, identifying opportunities for expansion and implementing innovative solutions to grow the business. This role requires a strong understanding of the payments environment and excellent relationship-building skills to collaborate with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive transaction growth across existing billers and payment channels (retail and digital)
- Identify, source, and onboard new billers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key biller stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships (e.g. banks, referral partners)
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to grow the business
- Serve as the primary liaison between billers/prospects and internal teams
- Collaborate with marketing to support and enhance market presence
- Ensure smooth operational delivery for all biller-related activities
- Monitor, analyse, and report on sales performance, opportunities, and forecasts
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification. 5-8 years of similar experience in the payments/financial industry, with referenceable sales and enterprise-level client relationship management experience.
