About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Advisor to join our team in Johannesburg. As a Financial Advisor, you will manage a portfolio of clients, provide ongoing financial planning support, and develop new business opportunities. You will offer advice on investment strategies, retirement planning, estate planning, and risk management, while ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review client portfolios, providing professional financial advice.
- Prospect and acquire new clients to grow the portfolio.
- Deliver financial products and services in a professional and client-focused manner.
- Collaborate with Financial Service Providers (FSPs) and internal departments to resolve client queries.
- Maintain regular client communication and build long-term relationships.
- Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to client needs.
- Provide advice on investments, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax optimisation.
- Assess client risk profiles and recommend appropriate strategies.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling services.
- Network with professionals, attend industry events, and contribute to marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- Matric with tertiary qualification in Finance (NQF5: Wealth Management / BCom)
- Non-negotiable RE5 certification
- Relevant Class of Business certifications in place
- Fit and Proper status required
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Financial Planning role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related software
- Experience with professionals and high-net-worth clients
Qualifications
- Matric with tertiary qualification in Finance (NQF5: Wealth Management / BCom)
- RE5 certification
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary R30 000, plus commission.
