About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic HR leader who is passionate about people, culture, talent development, and organisational effectiveness. This role will be responsible for driving the Human Capital strategy, partnering with executive leadership, and leading a high-performing HR team to support business growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Human Capital strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the Human Capital team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with executive and senior management to provide strategic HR guidance and support.
  • Drive talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee performance management, remuneration, rewards, and employee relations processes.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, governance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, transformation, and organisational culture initiatives.
  • Utilise people analytics and workforce planning to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead change management and organisational development projects.

Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years” Human Capital / Human Resources experience , with significant exposure at a senior leadership level.

Proven experience leading and developing HR teams.

Strong background within the banking, financial services, or related regulated industry environment .

Demonstrated success in developing and executing HR strategies that drive business performance.

Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
