About the Role

Network Finance is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (Key Accounts) to join their team in Johannesburg North. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing revenue and margin within assigned key accounts by expanding into new departments, contacts, and business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue and margin within assigned key accounts by expanding into new departments, contacts, and business units
  • Develop and execute structured account growth plans with clear targets and weekly accountability
  • Build and maintain multi-level relationships across procurement, technical, operations, and executive stakeholders
  • Position the business as a strategic solutions partner, leveraging technology-driven tools and insights
  • Maintain disciplined CRM usage: accurate logging of all interactions, opportunities, and follow-ups
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including operations, warehouse, and finance to ensure seamless customer delivery
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the broader ICT aftermarket
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence including competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer feedback
  • Represent the business at industry events, customer meetings, and supplier engagements with professionalism and authority

Requirements

  • 5–10 years’ B2B sales or key account management experience
  • Proven track record of growing revenue within existing accounts (not only maintaining them)
  • Experience working with large, complex organisations (e.g. service providers, resellers, enterprise clients)
  • Strong understanding of solution-based or technical sales environments (ICT distribution or similar advantageous)
  • Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments and build relationships at all levels
  • Strong commercial acumen with understanding of margin, pricing, and value-based selling
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-driven with strong initiative and accountability

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong CRM discipline and pipeline management
  • Ability to build structured account plans and sales strategies
  • Commercial forecasting and opportunity management
  • Understanding of technology-enabled sales tools and platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Exposure to ICT distribution, aftermarket parts, or technical product environments (advantageous)

Additional Requirements

  • Based in Gauteng with willingness to travel nationally as required
  • Comfortable working in a fast-evolving, technology-enabled business environment
