About the Role
Our client is a well-established player within the renewable energy and infrastructure space, operating a large utility-scale power generation asset in South Africa. The organisation forms part of a globally recognised group with strong governance, long-term stability, and a commitment to sustainability. This role offers exposure to project finance, IFRS reporting (including IFRIC 12), tax and statutory compliance, and high-level stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Prepare management accounts, variance analyses, budgets, forecasts, and medium-term plans
- Oversee IFRS reporting, including IFRIC 12 models
- Manage statutory compliance (VAT, tax returns, regulatory and audit requirements)
- Prepare annual financial statements and act as key liaison with external auditors
- Maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and procedures
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support finance-related procurement and contractual processes
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including financiers and service providers

- Articles completed at a Big Four audit firm (essential)
