About the Role

We are seeking a Product Innovation Specialist to join our Healthtech team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a crucial role in identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation, implementing AI/automation use cases, and influencing the product roadmap. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse existing products, integrations, and internal workflows to spot optimisation and automation opportunities
  • Use advanced SQL to extract insights (claims patterns, integration performance, product logic validation)
  • Identify and implement AI/automation use cases to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
  • Gather and synthesise feedback from internal teams and external clients; translate pain points into solutions
  • Influence the product roadmap with new features, process improvements, and platform enhancements
  • Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Support to define and land solutions in the dev lifecycle

Requirements

  • 5 years advanced SQL (complex queries, analysis, optimisation)
  • Hybrid Cloud experience (Azure or GCP) and SaaS on-prem integration understanding
  • Hands-on exposure to AI/ML implementation, prompt engineering, and LLM integrations
  • Bonus: healthcare / medical aid domain experience (claims, integrations, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in CS / IT / Data Science (or equivalent high-level industry experience)

Salary & Benefits

The proposed salary for the role is R25k – R28k per month. The final offer will depend on qualifications, experience, and skills.
