About the Role
Our client, a leading multinational within the global supply chain and logistics sector, seeks a Regional Finance Controls Manager â Eastern Africa to drive internal control awareness and best practices across the region. This role will see you partnering closely with regional finance leadership and global internal control teams to evaluate, enhance, and embed internal control frameworks across Eastern Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive internal control awareness and best practices across the region through communication, training, and stakeholder engagement
- Perform control assessments, testing, and monitoring, ensuring compliance with group policies
- Support internal and external audits and track implementation of corrective action plans
- Lead annual internal control self-assessment processes and identify areas for improvement
- Partner with regional teams to implement effective controls and strengthen processes
- Contribute to fraud risk mitigation by identifying control gaps and supporting remediation
- Provide internal control insight on projects, new initiatives, and system implementations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 45 years of experience in Internal Audit, Internal Controls, or Finance within a complex environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal control frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders across multiple levels
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Experience within logistics or a multinational environment is advantageous
