SharePoint Specialist (Fixed-Term Contract 3 Months)
Location: Sandton
Division: Legal & Compliance (Records Management)

A short-term opportunity exists for an experienced SharePoint Specialist to support the configuration and implementation of a SharePoint on-premise environment into an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).

The successful candidate will design and implement records centres, develop information architecture, and configure metadata, document libraries, and access controls to ensure effective records management and compliance with relevant legislation (including POPIA, PAIA, and National Archives requirements).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure SharePoint as an EDRMS solution
  • Design and implement records centres and information architecture
  • Develop metadata structures, content types, and document libraries
  • Support migration and organisation of electronic records
  • Configure permissions, retention schedules, and lifecycle controls
  • Ensure compliance with records governance and regulatory frameworks
  • Provide user support and stakeholder engagement during rollout

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Management, BCom or equivalent
  • 58 years experience in electronic records/content management
  • Strong SharePoint (Online / Microsoft 365) experience
  • Proven experience configuring SharePoint as an EDRMS
  • Knowledge of POPIA, PAIA, and NARS regulations
  • Experience in metadata, taxonomy, and information governance
