About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic couple to join our luxury safari and wellness lodge in the Greater Kruger area as Head Chef and Senior Wellness Therapist. As a joint management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences and holistic guest care, ensuring our guests experience world-class cuisine and rejuvenating treatments in a 5-star wilderness setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations with a focus on excellence
- Develop seasonal menus showcasing creativity and guest appeal
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control
- Manage stock levels, supplier relationships, and cost control
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and lodge standards
- Collaborate with management to deliver exceptional dining experiences
- Provide a range of professional spa and wellness treatments (massages, facials, holistic therapies)
- Deliver personalized guest care with attention to detail and discretion
- Manage spa scheduling, treatment areas, and product inventory
- Uphold strict hygiene and safety protocols
- Promote wellness services and contribute to overall guest satisfaction
- Support training and development of junior therapists
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of wellness trends and techniques
Requirements
- Formal culinary qualification (Head Chef)
- Accredited wellness/therapy certification (Senior Therapist)
- Prior experience in luxury hospitality or lodge environment
- Proven track record in 5-star establishments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a couple
