About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping HOD to join our team at a Holiday Resort near Mbombela, Mpumalanga. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our housekeeping department and ensuring exceptional standards in all aspects of guest services.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations
• Manage department budgets, procurement, stock control, and cost management
• Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, including performance and discipline
• Maintain accurate staff records and job descriptions
• Handle guest relations, welcome guests, and resolve complaints professionally
• Coordinate refurbishment projects aligned with the 7-year maintenance plan
• Ensure compliance with POPIA, OHS Act, and company policies

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping and laundry experience in a lodge or resort environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication (English and Afrikaans – additional languages a bonus)
• Budgeting, cost control, and stock management experience
• Knowledge of POPIA and OHS Act compliance
• Confidence using Resort Management Systems eg. HotelTime, Vento, GuestRevu

Qualifications

• Valid Code 8 driver’s license essential

Salary & Benefits
