About the Role
Jelocorp is seeking an HR Officer / HR Generalist to support our company’s day-to-day human resources operations in South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of HR tasks, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee records, and general HR compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end recruitment coordination, including scheduling interviews and preparing offer documentation
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Assist with payroll input, leave administration, attendance records, and employee benefits coordination
- Ensure HR practices comply with South African labour legislation and internal policies
- Draft employment contracts, letters, and HR-related documents
- Liaise with line managers on staffing, probation follow-ups, and employee relations matters
- Support disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes where required
- Assist with reporting on headcount, turnover, leave, and other HR metrics
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of HR generalist / HR officer experience
- Good knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR processes
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and employee records
- Strong administrative and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently and handle confidential information professionally
