Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES1. Provide an efficient and effective service to all customers entering the shop. Establish their requirements as soon as possible.2. Inform customers about the Frequent Purchaser Programme (Cash back).3. Refer or escort the customers to the showroom upstairs.4. Provide the customer with the required application and technical information regarding colour, grade, price, stock availability and use of tiling related products, i.e. tile adhesive, spacers, etc.5. Use sales and marketing techniques to influence customer to purchase products, to buy up, etc.6. Make out an order and advise customer of process, i.e. payment to cashier, arranging delivery, despatch, etc.7. Follow-up with customers who required samples or measurements.8. Ensure Sales Representative area is neat and clean at all times to create the correct impression.9. Be attentive to when customers need assistance or when just browsing.10. Ensure that the personal appearance is immaculate at all times to project a positive sales and company image.11. Assist in the bi-annual stock taking.REQUIREMENTS1. Grade 122. 3-5 years proven sales experience in a similar or related retail industry3. Tile Product knowledge preferable but not essential4. Computer Skills essential5. Willing to work retail hours (weekends and public holidays) (Monday to Friday 8.00 to 5.00, Saturday 8.00 to 15.00, Alternate Sundays 9.00 to 14.00 & Alternate Public holidays 9.00 to 14.00).
