About the Role

Riwacon Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, bringing extensive knowledge of quantity surveying and project management to drive successful construction projects. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, excellent analytical and communication abilities, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying from initial project stage through to completion
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender documentation
• Evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement processes
• Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure adherence
• Provide expert advice on procurement and contractual matters
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders
• Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports to management and clients
• Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyor and support staff

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 5 years in a senior role
• Extensive knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods
• Strong leadership and mentoring capability
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Fluent in English; additional languages would be an advantage
