About the Role
A leading development finance institution is seeking a highly experienced Senior Deal Maker to lead complex transaction assessments, structure strategic funding solutions and drive regional investment growth aligned to industry development objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and structure complex transactions using appropriate financing instruments
- Lead multidisciplinary due diligence teams across financial, technical and marketing disciplines
- Ensure financial soundness of all credit submissions
- Identify, assess and mitigate transaction risks (legal, operational, financial and market-related)
- Negotiate funding structures and legal/commercial terms
Requirements
Relevant Commercial or Technical Honours Degree
CA(SA) qualification
810 years related experience
At least 8 years in deal assessment and closing of transactions
Experience managing approved deals through to first drawdown
Competent in all three due diligence disciplines (Financial, Technical and Marketing)
Proven leadership on complex/high-value transactions
Strong financial statement analysis and modelling capability
Experience conducting peer reviews
Knowledge of financing instruments and structured funding solutions
Qualifications
Formal education/certifications: CA(SA) qualification
