About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our luxury safari lodge team in North West. As a key member of our culinary leadership, you will be responsible for driving menu innovation, delivering exceptional dining experiences, and overseeing all kitchen operations. This is a live-in role that offers a unique opportunity to thrive in a remote operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and inspire the culinary team
- Plan, develop, and execute innovative menus across all dining outlets
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including stock control, ordering, and budgeting
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, health, and food safety standards
- Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff
- Maintain consistent high standards of food quality and presentation
- Collaborate with management to enhance overall guest dining experiences
- Manage logistical and operational challenges in a remote lodge setting
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef in luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environments. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional creativity and passion for culinary excellence. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and modern culinary techniques. Ability to thrive in a remote operational environment.
