About the Role
Dynamic Outsourced Solutions Pty. Ltd is seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our repair and maintenance services, you will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling mechanical components of electrical rotating equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime for industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly and disassembly of electric motors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify mechanical faults, wear, and damage in rotating machinery.
- Replace bearings, seals, shafts, and other mechanical components.
- Align rotating machinery components to OEM specifications.
- Conduct precision measurements using micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
- Assist in refurbishment and overhaul projects of industrial rotating equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with company quality and safety standards.
- Work closely with electricians, millwrights, and machinists during repairs.
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions in workshop and field environments.
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years experience in heavy engineering or rotating equipment.
- Experience with pumps, motors, and generators advantageous.
- Ability to read technical drawings and assembly diagrams.
- Knowledge of bearing fits, tolerances, and alignment techniques.

- Trade Test Certificate Mechanical Fitter
