About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant / Tax Practitioner to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax practice, with experience managing a diverse portfolio of clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial services, ensuring compliance with tax legislation, and delivering exceptional client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of trusts, companies, deceased estates, and individuals
- Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting documents
- Ensure compliance with tax legislation and regulations
- Provide expert advice on accounting principles and tax law
- Lead or mentor junior staff members as needed
- Maintain accurate records and files in accordance with industry standards
Requirements
- Accounting degree (BCom Accounting or equivalent)
- Registered Tax Practitioner CIBA or SAIBA registered
- Minimum 2 years accounting and tax practice experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax legislation
- Experience with financial statements, tax compliance, and accounting functions
Qualifications
- Formal education in accounting (Bachelor’s degree)
