About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard and Plant Admin Assistant to join our team in Randburg. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the yard and workshop operations, ensuring seamless day-to-day activities. If you have excellent administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn new systems, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the yard and workshop operations.
- Assist with purchasing and procurement of materials, parts, and consumables.
- Maintain accurate records on the M Win system and be willing to undergo training on the system.
- Capture and manage yard labour attendance, staff timecards, leave records, and related documentation.
- Administer and maintain the workshop job card system for all machinery and equipment.
- Maintain and update machine history files, service records, and maintenance documentation.
- Support workshop and operational staff with administrative requirements.
- Act as the designated Yard First Aider and Fire Marshal after receiving the necessary training.
- Ensure filing systems and operational records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with general coordination and communication between yard, workshop, and management teams.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the construction, industrial, engineering, plant, or equipment environment will be advantageous.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Computer literate with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to be trained in M Win, First Aid, and Fire Marshal duties.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required for this role. However, a willingness to learn and develop new skills is essential.
