About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Farm Manager to join our team in a remote area of South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture or field-based operations, with experience in supervisory roles and a proven track record of driving efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily field operations activities: planting, harvesting, crop care & road maintenance.
  • Coordinate efficient transportation of harvested fruit from estate to mills.
  • Analyse field productivity data to identify areas for performance improvement (for daily activities and process improvement initiatives).
  • Mentoring and upskilling of field workers and coworkers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture / forestry or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in agriculture or field-based operations
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Independent, proactive, eager to learn and results-oriented
  • Strong social / interpersonal skills
  • Exposed to meeting and/or working with people from different cultures and background (ideally has travelled outside home region / overseas and especially Asia)
  • Willing to learn different languages
  • Comfortable to live / work in remote area
