About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on Cost Accountant to join our team on-site at an established manufacturing business. This role goes beyond reporting numbers, focusing on working closely with operations to identify inefficiencies, improve processes, and drive real impact across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of the full costing function across a busy manufacturing environment
- Analysing costs, margins, and variances to support better decision-making
- Working closely with production and operations teams to understand processes and identify improvements
- Managing inventory, stock counts, and production-related reporting
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting across the business
- Driving process improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Contributing to reporting packs and operational insights
Requirements
- BCom Accounting / CIMA (or in progress)
- 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (essential)
- Strong understanding of costing, BOMs, and variance analysis
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Naturally curious, proactive, and solutions-driven
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
