This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled culinary professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for delivering world-class guest dining experiences within a remote, high-end safari environment. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the entire culinary operation, ensuring exceptional food quality for both guests and staff while driving innovation, consistency, and excellence across all kitchen offerings. Requirements: Formal culinary qualification essential Minimum 2 years management experience within a five-star hospitality environment Strong leadership and kitchen team development abilities Proven ability to perform under pressure with excellent attention to detail Strong guest-focused mindset with a proactive and positive attitude Creative thinking with the ability to innovate within structured systems Solid understanding of hospitality operations and service coordination Computer literacy and strong administrative capability Key Responsibilities: Oversee the standard and quality of all food products for guests and staff Implement and maintain kitchen standards across all departments Lead training, development, and mentorship of kitchen staff Manage all kitchen administration, staff records, scheduling, and compliance Design seasonal menus aligned with guest expectations and available produce Ensure food presentation aligns with brand and lodge styling guidelines Elevate guest dining experiences through creativity and consistency Maintain strong stock control, ordering, and rotation systems Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and operational readiness Quality-check all food leaving the kitchen before service Engage with guests where possible to build relationships and enhance experience Manage dietary requirements for guests and staff effectively Maintain strong communication with all departments and suppliers Foster discipline, fairness, and professionalism within the kitchen team Personal Attributes: Passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Organised, disciplined, and highly self-motivated Energetic, enthusiastic, and professional in all environments Committed to mentoring, training, and inspiring culinary teams This is a rare opportunity for a dedicated Executive Chef to lead a luxury safari culinary operation in one of Africas most breathtaking destinations, delivering unforgettable guest experiences at the highest level.
